Scholarships

The Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show Association awards between $20,000 & $30,000 in scholarships each year.

 

Scholarship application requirements and procedures:

Click on the application link and fill out online. You must print off the completed application and mail it in. If you have any problems filling it in online feel free to print off a blank application and fill in neatly by hand.

Applications

High School Graduate  Application Deadline March 1, 2012
Scholarships available:

  • Chartier-Kraloveitz (formally M.L. Chartier & Dry Doc) $2500 Scholarship to Kerr County residents only

  • Kerr County Hill Country District Jr. Livestock Show Association

  • Up to eight (8) District Scholarships awarded each year

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Be a graduating High School Senior.
2. Have an overall GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 system.
3. Kerr County applicants must have resided in the county during their Jr. & Sr. year of High School.
4. District applicants must have resided in the District during their Jr. & Sr. year of High School.
5. All applicants must have participated in 4-H and/or FFA for at least 4 years.
6. All applicants must attend a Texas College or University in the Fall of 2012.
7. All applicants must have participated in the Hill Country District Junior Livestock Show any 2 of the previous 4 years.

Collegiate Scholarships Application Deadline April 1, 2012
Scholarships available:

  • Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. However, the total individual will be taken into consideration. An active history in promoting agriculture, academics, and a hearty involvement in other activities will all play a role in the process.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. Be enrolled in a Texas College or University as a full time student taking at least twelve semester hours of course work.
2. Have completed at least 12 semester hours as a freshman or have completed 36 hours as an Upper Classman by March 2011.
3. Have resided in Kerr County or a District County for the last two years of High School and actively participated in

4-H or FFA activities for 4 years.
4. Have maintained a 2.5 GPA or better on a 4.0 system.
